How long do the cookies last?
We ship our cookies to you frozen to lock in their freshness. You can keep them for up to 2 months in your freezer and whenever the moment strikes, just take one, two or all of them out and let them defrost at room temperture for 10-15 minutes and that's it! You'll have the freshest SMIQQL cookie experience with crunchy edges and a gooey core.
If you love a warm cookie with melted chocolate, you can simply pop them onto a baking sheet into a cold oven, set the oven to 80degC and wait about 5 minutes!
Once defrosted, it is best to enjoy your cookies within 2-3 days after receiving them if you store them at room temperature. Storing them in an airtight container is always recommended.
In the fridge, the cookies will last at least a week.
What is Turkish Tang and Lavanta Nane flaky salt?
SMIQQL's Turkish Tang flaky salt is one of the signature non-spicy flavors that fuses our crunchy salt flakes with organic Ceylon cinnamon, cardamom and orange powder. Topping the cookie, Turkish Tang flaky salt gives you a warm hug with each bite.
Lavanta Nane flaky salt offers a balanced flavor profile of lavender blossoms, Nane mint, lemon and a hint of chili. It's a gorgeous pairing with all kinds of chocolate and adds a tickle of spiciness to your SMIQQL Triple Choc Cookie.
How spicy is the Lavanta Nane version?
We like to say that it adds a tickle of spiciness to the cookie. Since it's the flavored flaky salt on top that provides the spiciness and not the cookie itself, each bite will be slightly different.
If you enjoy spicy food, you'll love the excitement of Lavanta Nane! If you're not as fond of spiciness, we can safely say that the Lavanta Nane version of our SMIQQL Triple Choc Cookie would be a great way to experiment with a little tickle of spiciness without being on fire.
Can I freeze them?
Absolutely! We recommend placing your cookies (airtight) into the freezer as soon as possible to keep them freshest.
When you'd like a cookie, you can simply take one out of the freezer and let it defrost for 10-15 minutes at room temperature - or you can also warm it up again in the oven for a couple of minutes if you like the melted chocolate experience!
How are they made?
SMIQQL Triple Choc Cookies are handmade in our production kitchen in Zurich.
All cookies are made equally, but topped off right after they come out of the oven with one of our two flaky salt flavors (Turkish Tang or Lavanta Nane) - which gives each bite an extra exciting flavor kick!
We also ensure that all our ingredients have never come in touch with gluten, nor contain traces thereof, so that anyone with gluten sensitivities is included, as is the SMIQQL way.
We exclusively make the cookies plant-based and use almond milk as a replacement for eggs. This is our only allergen.

We are proud to have partnered with Taucherli - a bean-to-bar chocoate maker from Zurich.
For our triple chocolate chip cookies we've selected their 50% and 69% dark chocolate along with their vegan milk chocolate called GROW.
